Although I love American style breakfast like bacon and eggs, my husband and I like starting a day with Japanese style breakfast. Of course cereal with milk is a lot easier but when I start my day with balanced breakfast, I feel more energy through out the morning. So it takes a bit longer to prepare it, but I try to prepare Japanese breakfast as much as I can.
Traditional Japanese breakfast usually consists of rice and miso soup and something else like tamagoyaki(Japanese omellet) or/and grilled salted salmon.
Also it often comes with fermented soy beans called Natto. It’s stinky and sticky, but it’s very good for your health.
I’m trying to add more vegetables to my breakfast because vegetables are good for you! 🙂
Sometimes, simple onigiri makes me happy.
